Private Day & Sunset Cruises
Sometimes the best way to enjoy Wilmington is from the water.
Our private charters give you the opportunity to get out on the water without owning or operating a boat yourself. Day cruises and sunset cruises are offered aboard our 23 foot Tidewater center console and can be personalized around your plans.
Whether you want to cruise the local waterways, explore somewhere new, spend time at a beach, or simply relax on the water, we can help plan an outing based on your interests and current conditions.
Because each charter is private, you are not joining a large group or following the same predetermined itinerary every trip.
Captain Services for Your Vessel
If you own a boat but would prefer to have an experienced captain operate it, Off The Chart Marine provides captain services aboard customer owned vessels for planned outings, vessel relocation, and other situations where professional operation may be helpful.
If your boat needs to be moved from one location to another by water, Dylan can operate your vessel to its destination. This is different from our boat pickup and delivery service, which provides transportation by land when needed.
Owner and captain Dylan Lackey has spent much of his life around boats and has been boating in the Wilmington area since childhood. His professional marine background and hands on experience with different types of vessels provide additional knowledge and experience when operating customer owned boats.

Training is adapted to your experience level, your vessel, and the areas where you would like additional instruction.

Off The Chart Marine is owner operated by Dylan Lackey, a USCG Licensed Captain who also holds CPR and STCW certifications. Dylan grew up around boats and fishing, has spent years operating and working on boats, and has experience with vessels ranging from jon boats and pontoons to ski boats and center consoles.
His connection to the Wilmington area goes back to childhood, when he regularly spent time boating and fishing here before eventually moving to Wilmington full time.
